TentenQuiz is a web app for practising everyday vocabulary in 12 languages through repeated quizzes. Each game has 10 questions, and for every question you choose the meaning from 4 options within 10 seconds. You can build up your vocabulary step by step through life-topic sections such as Nature & Weather, People & Relationships, and Food & Drink, organised into stages.
Each section lets you preview the words that appear in the quiz, and you can save any word you want to review to your wordbook while you study. The Word dictionary shows every word and meaning you can learn, organised by section.
TentenQuiz splits 2,500 everyday words into 10 stages, each with 10 sections. To complete a section, first study all 25 of its words at least once. Once all 25 are learned, the perfect run begins: score 10 out of 10 three times in a row and the section is complete. A single mistake sends the streak back to 0, but a section you have already completed stays complete.
The 10-second limit is designed to help you practise recalling a word’s meaning promptly instead of overthinking it. If time runs out, the correct answer appears immediately and the missed word remains available in “Practice missed questions”. Each round contains only 10 questions, making it easier to stay focused and repeat short study sessions.
Add any word you want to review while working through a quiz. My wordbook reshuffles and repeats your saved questions; after a wrong answer or timeout, it reveals the answer and speaks it once in your selected “My language”. You can stop whenever the words feel familiar, making it useful for focused practice on difficult vocabulary.
